One Part Commitment + One Part Self Discipline = The Power to Transform Your Relationships

When you find yourself justifying/defending why you did/said something¬† that someone appears to have misunderstood, try apologizing for how you came across & ask what they’d prefer.

It does not mean you have to follow through with their preference. It only creates validation for how they feel & allows them to open up to how you choose to do things.

From there, you’ll begin a new line of communication that will allow the other person to be heard, as well as open the door for them to hear what you truly intended to do/say.

Challenge yourself to do this in the moment, along with anything you are holding on from in the past. The process has the power to clear up any misunderstanding and truly honors everyone in the situation.
